BMEGG Students,
Designs for the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Group and Intramural
Sports T-Shirt contest have been submitted are voting is ready! Because
we are relying on the vote to let us know how many shirts to purchase, we
request that you vote ONLY ONCE.

The other big thing happening right now is the BMEGG Christmas
potluck lunch, beginning at noon in the 3rd floor gathering space. Please bring a
salad, appetizer, side dish or dessert to share. Sign-ups for the potluck
dishes are in the BME office. Hope to see you there!

A BMEGG Halloween Party will be held on the third floor of GBSF. This
is a great and funny event as we get to see creative ideas by students,
staff and faculty when they dress up in their costumes. We are providing
sandwiches and are hoping that you will bring a side dish or some item for
desert.

Hello BME @ UCD,
The next meeting will occur next Monday from 4-5 pm in GBSF (specific
room TBA).
If you are looking to participate right away, we have two openings for
Graduate Student Association (GSA) representatives that we need to fill.
This position requires going to meetings three times a quarter. Other
topics for this meeting: Halloween lunch/costume contest, T-shirt
contests, and Prelim Q&A lunch.
Thanks to all those who volunteered their time to make all the activities
thus far run smoothly. I'll send out the location of the meeting later
this week.

BESA meeting help August 21st. Items discussed are in the Meetings
section of the site. An invitation from Christal was sent to department
for the upcoming Welcome BBQ for incoming students. The event is usually
a lot of fun and a great time to hang out with BME faculty and friends.

Next meeting will be held on March 13th at 5pm at the Davis Graduate to
discuss the final event we will have at the end of the quarter. This will
likely be a lunch or related item. Also, if anyone is interested in
helping out with the BME float for Picnic Day, please contact Nick Snead for more information. In
case you're new to Davis and want more information on picnic day please

1) Recruitment weekend follows President's Day weekend, and you are
welcome to come to any of the events. Of particular interest are the
events with free food. See the schedule (below) for the exact times and
places. Please RSVP to Christal Winter (cdwinter@ucdavis.edu) if you are
planning on coming so that we have enough food.

if you can bring a poster to the poster
session on Friday night (Feb 24).
